Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) techniques— visualization, goal-setting, and positive self-talk—on the performance of Pakistani female volleyball players. Using an experimental pre-test/post-test control group design, 48 players were divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group received NLP-based training for eight weeks, while the control group continued with regular practice. Performance was assessed through overhand service, underhand passing, and smash skills. The findings are expected to demonstrate that NLP techniques significantly improve skill accuracy, consistency, confidence, and overall performance. The study highlights the importance of integrating psychological training into sports programs to enhance athletic performance among female athletes in Pakistan.
